In the heart of Bordeaux, our restaurant is located on Place Camille Julian.
A historic site with a large terrace and a room on the first floor to welcome you;
Le Saint Georges and its team can also organize events for up to 30 people in its upstairs room.
Located in the SAINT-PIERRE district, surrounded by Cours Alsace Lorraine, Rue Sainte Catherine and Place SAINT-PIERRE, the historic Place Camille Jullian is one of Bordeaux’s busiest squares.
With its large 338-space parking lot, the square hosts a wide range of activities. Leisure facilities include a historic cinema, various bars including Bordeaux’s best, aka Le Saint Georges, a tobacconist’s and Bordeaux’s self-proclaimed best kebab shop.
Built in 1934 in honor of Gironde historian and epigraphist Camille Jullian, the eponymous square is also home to a monument composed of ancient stones of the city in the days of ancient Rome, identified in 1921 by good old Camille Jullian.
When the parking lot was created in 1989, archaeological digs were carried out to detect potential remains hidden beneath the ground of one of Bordeaux’s oldest public squares.
In addition to the former church, which was converted into a car garage and then a cinema, utopia is not the only old building on the square, nor even the oldest. As you can see, our oldest building is Le Saint Georges.
With our large sunny terrace open all year round from 12 noon, our large dining room to host your meals in the best possible conditions, and our upstairs room to welcome your friends, colleagues or family in a more private setting.
